On July 3-4, 2013 Equity for Children and Equidad para la Infancia will co-host an International Seminar on Children and Intra-Urban Inequalities at the Universidad Nacional Tres de Febrero in Buenos Aires. The conference will address the rights of children and adolescents in urban settings.

The report examines the barriers – from inaccessible buildings to dismissive attitudes, from invisibility in official statistics to vicious discrimination – that deprive children with disabilities of their rights and keep them from participating fully in society.

The Grotius Centre has announced a new summer course on international children's rights for this summer in close cooperation with Professor Ton Liefaard, Professor of Children's Rights (UNICEF chair) at Leiden Law School and Professor Julia Sloth-Nielsen, University of the Western-Cape, who will coordinate the course.

The objective of this project was to create a framework that included monitoring and reporting guidelines for reporting on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, linking children’s rights within the human rights context to environmental and health rights through the harmonisation of various monitoring and reporting systems.

Eurochips acts as a voice for prisoners' children when boosting awareness among the public, judges, schools, childcare professionals, prison staff and relevant organizations and administrations. It provides forums to foster the exchange of ideas and good practice for children with imprisoned parents. It is building a resource center to provide more accurate statistics on the number of children affected, explore the psychological and social impact of a parent's incarceration, and highlight the importance of maintaining family ties.

It also trains professionals and volunteers.

INCHES - the International Research and Information Network on Children's Health, Environment and Safety is a global network of people and organisations interested in promoting the protection of children from environmental and safety hazards. INCHES is also a former Childwatch International project. Inches still runs as a global network of people and organisations interested in promoting the protection of children from environmental and safety hazards.

The Children’s Issues Centre aims to make a difference in children’s lives by improving policy and practice relating to children, young people and their families/whānau. The Centre serves as an interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners, policy makers and students with an interest in advancing knowledge about children’s development, well-being and rights. The Centre's research, teaching and advocacy is underpinned by its commitment to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and how this is honoured within Aotearoa New Zealand.

The CCYP promotes the status of children and young people in research, policy and practice. It brings together four important strands: an interdisciplinary approach; a focus on research, education and advocacy for children and young people; an emphasis on cross-sectoral partnerships to promote evidence-based policy and practice and the inclusion and participation of children and young people.
