Mohammad Shaheen

Mohammad Shaheen holds a doctorate degree in public health and has been working as an associate professor at the school of public health at Al-Quds University. He is also the director of the child research unit at the Primary Health Care Center/Al-Quds University. He has been active in developing community based public health interventions and participated in the Palestinian health care reform at the policy and program level.

He has been involved in several research projects in the areas of child nutrition, immunization, psycho-social health and development of children and adolescents and established the child research unit at Al-Quds University. With the help of Childwatch International, he helped in initiating and launching the Arab Child Research Network. Jointly with Israeli child research unit at Bookdale-JDC, he developed a project Cherish aiming at building child research capacity in the region.
