This conference will bring together papers that discuss the extent of inequalities in key indicators of children’s human capital and well-being, especially how inequalities change and evolve, and the factors that mitigate or reinforce early inequalities and explain their evolution over time.

In July 2013 Equity for Children and Equidad para la Infancia will co-host an International Seminar on Children and Intra-Urban Inequalities at the Universidad Nacional Tres de Febrero in Buenos Aires. The conference will address the rights of children and adolescents in urban settings.

The European Social Network (ESN) will be organising its 21st annual conference next year in Dublin in cooperation with the Irish Presidency of the European Union. In preparation for this event, there is an open call for workshops. This is an opportunity to present for discussion innovative practice on a wide range of issues within the overall theme of the conference.

On 1st February 2013 a global campaign led by the International Play Association: Promoting the child’s right to play (IPA) achieved a goal it had worked towards for five years, when the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child in session in Geneva formally adopted a General Comment on Article 31. The Centre for Children’s Rights, along with the Northern Ireland Children’s Commissioner , OFMDFM and the International Play Association, will be supporting a seminar organised by Playboard Northern Ireland in Belfast on 17th April , thus launching a process to determine how the global message of the UN General Comment can be made a reality for Northern Irish Children.

On March 21-22, 2013, Equidad para la Infancia América Latina is hosting the Second Latin American Colloquium on the Politics of Security and Human Rights: Focusing on Early Childhood, Childhood and Adolescence. The Annual Day on the Rights of the Child - this year focusing on the right to health - will take place on 7 March during the 22nd session of the Human Rights Council.

Welcome to the first International Conference on Inclusive Education under the banner of Asian Centre for Inclusive Education (ACIE) that is going to be held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
