This scientific gathering takes place at the IUKB on May 2, 3 and 4, 2013 against a backdrop of national and international attention regarding Human Rights in general and Children’s Rights in particular. The roster of specialists and authors include among others, Kevin Jennings (USA) and Marina Castaneda (.Mexico).
The opportunity to collaborate with the Council of Europe brings added value to the conference. In particular, CoE Recommandation CM/Rec(2010)5 on measures to combat discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation or gender identity will be examined in detail, and the evolving strategies regarding its meaningful implementation. This will be illustrated by the participation of governmental and NGO representatives from a network of 6 countries engaged in the implementation (Albania, Italy, Latvia, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia) who will share their experience, best practices and obstacles alike.
