World AIDS Day

This year marks the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day. Today a new report from four UN agencies entitled Children and AIDS: Third Stocktaking Report, 2008was released advocating for increased HIV testing for newborns as young as six-weeks-old. Save The Children adopts a number of approaches across the world to tackle the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Our Key Institution The Children's Institute at the University of Cape Town has developed an HIV/AIDS Programme to promote and facilitate an appropriate policy, programme and funding response to children in the context of HIV/AIDS in South Africa.
