CIDA funds collaboration between Key Institutions

The Institute for Child Rights and Development (IICRD), Canada, has received a three year grant from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) to develop their project on systems change to improve the realization of children's rights. The project will be carried through in close collaboration with The International Centre for Education and Human Development (CINDE) Colombia.

CIDA is funding the project run by IICRD at the University of Victoria for a three year period. The working title of the project is Systems Change to Improve the Human Rights and Secure the Well-being of Children Through Child Protection. CINDE will be involved from the first phase of the project taking place in Colombia, mapping out existing child rights and child protection legal and policy frameworks and practices to clarify their existing and potential relationshiops.

The project focuses on strenghtening the capacity of human rights institutions, professional associations and local non-governmental organization that support child rights.
