The overall goal of the conference is to contribute to the improvement of laws, policies, systems and procedures in the justice system in Africa when it deals with children.
Specific Objectives include:
- Awareness raising on the gaps in the child justice system in Africa among policy makers, CSOs, academia, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Identification and sharing of good practice models and concrete actions in the justice system when it deals with children and promotion of learning and linking among African states.
- Developing, recommending and advocating for the guidelines on child friendly justice in Africa to be endorsed and enforced by African States.
