Analysis of 10 years of data from over 126 million contacts made by children and young people with child helplines in 141 countries forms the basis of a series of publications that will be released at these events.
CHI members will participate in Policy Dialogues and Regional Consultations. Policy makers, civil society organisations and private sector representatives are invited to attend the Policy Dialogues in the respective regions. CHI makes an oral statement at ECOSOC meeting
Today, 4 July 2013 CHI's Executive Director Nenita La Rose provided an oral statement at the High Level Segment of the United Nations Economic and Social Council meeting in Geneva. CHI calls upon the governments to support and strengthen child helplines in their countries and listen to the voices of children and young people. CHI also urged the United Nations and its member states to include protection of children and young people as a goal in the post-2015 development agenda.
