An estimated 178 million children younger than 5 years in developing countries experience linear growth retardation and are unlikely to attain their developmental potential. We aimed to evaluate adult benefits from early childhood stimulation and/or nutritional supplementation in growth-retarded children.

The aim of this research, commissioned by the Office of the Children’s Commissioner and carried out by a team from the University of East Anglia, was to seek children and young people’s views of the child protection system and to consider how those views might contribute to improving responses to abuse and neglect. It aimed to gather the views of children and young people living with their parents, who all had a child protection plan in place.

On 1 January 2010, the activities of the Centre on the Rights of the Child (Department of Social Welfare Studies, Ghent University) were transferred to the Childrens Rights Knowledge Centre (KeKi). The Childrens Rights Knowledge Centre (in Dutch: Kenniscentrum Kinderrechten, abbreviated as KeKi) aims to collect and disseminate knowledge on childrens rights, generated by national and international scientific research.
