Watchlist on Children and Armed Conflict

NGOs, UN agencies, child rights experts and others who work with children share information with the Watchlist about violations of children's rights in specific armed conflicts. The Watchlist compiles this information and publishes reports that illustrate a comprehensive picture of children's lives in specific geographic areas. The Watchlist network includes local, regional, and international partners.

The Watchlist on Children and Armed Conflict strives to end violations against children in armed conflicts and to guarantee their rights. As a global network, the Watchlist builds partnerships among local, national and international non-governmental organizations, enhancing mutual capacities and strengths. Working together, the network strategically collects and disseminates information on violations against children in conflicts in order to influence key decision-makers to create and implement programs and policies that effectively protect children.

2008 Report:

The Watchlist on Children and Armed Conflict is pleased to present its latest report, No Safety No Escape: Children and the Escalating Armed Conflict in Sri Lanka (April 2008).
